Our work.

How the foundation supports the people, places, and ideas building water and climate resilience: the programs, the outcomes we measure against, and the formal details behind the work.

What we support

Five ways we move the work forward.

i.
Grants
Financial support for innovators, entrepreneurs, and researchers developing and implementing water and climate resilience projects. The funding brings new solutions and technologies to bear on water scarcity and a changing climate.
ii.
Scholarships
Financial aid for students and early-career professionals studying water management, climate science, and related fields. It helps build the next generation of leaders and experts the field will need.
iii.
Education
Workshops, seminars, and courses on best practices, emerging technologies, and new solutions for water and climate. They share knowledge and build the skills of the people and organizations doing the work.
iv.
Outreach
Campaigns and initiatives that raise awareness of water and climate issues and connect stakeholders across sectors. They build a community of practice around collaborative, sustainable solutions.
v.
Research
Funding and resources for scientific research in water conservation, climate adaptation, and sustainability. It advances knowledge and drives evidence-based solutions.
What we're working toward

The change we intend to leave behind.

The horizon we measure the work against. Every grant, scholarship, and initiative is a step toward these.

Enhanced water security

Better management and conservation of water resources, leading to more reliable access to clean water and reduced scarcity.

Increased climate resilience

Adaptation strategies and technologies that help communities and ecosystems withstand climate-related risks and stresses.

Skilled professionals

A new generation of experts equipped to lead the initiatives and projects that resilience will demand.

Stronger collaboration

A more connected network across academia, industry, government, and civil society, pooling resources toward common goals.

About the foundation

The AO Legacy Foundation is a private charitable foundation established in 2024 and based in Denver, Colorado. It was founded by Christopher Peacock, whose career has been spent at the intersection of water, agriculture, and finance, most recently as founder and CEO of AQUAOSO, a water and climate intelligence company acquired in 2024.

The foundation carries that work forward in a different form: not as a business, but as a long-term commitment to the resilience of the systems we all depend on.
